Study hairdressing and gain essential skills while mastering techniques such as hairstyling, colouring, and basic haircutting. Our beauty therapy programme covers a wide range of services, including face and body care, applying makeup and eye enhancement treatments, hair removal, facials, spray tanning, and manicures.

You will learn hands-on and apply practical skills in the Wintec Urban Spa. This purpose-built salon and spa provides industry experiences to develop your skills and knowledge further while working with real clients.

New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Level 3)

Students will gain essential skills in hairdressing and salon operation, to become a junior or assistant stylist in the hairdressing industry.

Certificate in Beauty Services (Level 4)

This programme offers students an opportunity to graduate with the skills to work in entry level positions in the beauty therapy industry. Students will spend time applying practical skills in Wintec’s Urban Spa and will also undertake work based learning at a beauty therapy clinic, working alongside beauty therapists in industry.
