- Safe use and maintenance of equipment - Documentation requirements and effective use of LIS system - Supervised work experience in an appropriate applied science setting - Application of quality assurance skills to work routine - Measurement, evaluation and reporting on performance and improvement against training goals - Interpersonal communication skills and positive workplace relationships - Exploration of values such as mana, kotahitanga, ngakau mahaki and rangatiratanga in the workplace - Reflective skills - Ethical, social, culturally responsive behaviour - Tikanga in the workplace - Professional expectations
Learning Outcomes
LO1 Work within legislative requirements in an applied science work related environment. LO2 Apply theory to practice in an applied science work related environment. LO3 Establish and maintain effective workplace relationships in an applied science work related environment. LO4 Reflect on professional practice in an applied science work related environment.
Assessment Criteria
Assessment in this course supports both achievement and competency-based assessment. Competency-based course completion: Akonga must successfully complete all specified assessment items in order to pass this course. Achievement based course completion: Akonga must submit all specified assessment items, achieve all learning outcomes, and obtain at least 50% overall in order to pass this course.
