"My name is Oluwatosin Peter Osifalujo from Nigeria, I’m popularly known as Tosin, and here in New Zealand, I go by Peter.

I am passioned to bring light, solutions, and progress to people and organisations. I enjoy connecting with others, constantly seeking growth, and finding ways to improve myself, businesses, and communities. I believe I bring a unique set of skills and perspectives that allow me to contribute meaningfully wherever I am.

I moved to New Zealand in February 2025 to study a Master of Applied Management at Wintec. My choice of Wintec was influenced not just by its impressive range of courses and work-integrated learning, but also by the city of Hamilton itself,  a peaceful, welcoming, and safe environment surrounded by the beautiful Waikato region. The balance of study opportunities and lifestyle here made it the perfect fit for me.

Another reason I chose Wintec is the opportunity to grow in a community that is still developing. With Hamilton’s growing population and Wintec’s reputation, I saw a chance to stand out and create my own space – a true blue ocean.

What I appreciate most about Wintec is the holistic support given to students. It’s not just about academics,  there is also emotional, community, and even spiritual care. For example, I once proposed an initiative to the international team, and to my delight, it was quickly supported and approved. That showed me how open and encouraging the environment here is. The tutors are another highlight  they are patient, thoughtful, and genuinely supportive, reflecting the warmth of New Zealand as a whole."
